Impactite is the perfect example of a crystal making itself known at exactly the right time, emerging when it is needed and following the ‘clues’ and synchronicities to discover its purpose.

I bought Impactite tumbles some time ago, I hadn’t worked with them before and didn’t get around to investigating them. Yesterday, looking in my cupboard for new items to list and include in my newsletter, they jumped out at me and the time felt right. They then sat on my desk waiting to be photographed and for me to write about them… I knew I had some details somewhere…..Then a friend sent through an image that had been created from one of her photos, mirrored through the Flipper app, which amazingly showed AA Michael’s sword. The next morning, the day before December’s New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius, (following the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse, Scorpio/Taurus), I noticed my mood dropping, and some old ‘stuff’ creeping like shadows into the corners of my mind. It had bubbled to the surface through thinking about going back to a place from my past, a few days later, and whilst I might have some pleasant reunions, I began to think about how I would feel if I met some people with whom, I now realised, I had some unresolved ‘issues’ - how I had felt let down by some friends and had never had the conversation about it, a dispute where I had been ‘publicly shamed’ but I had kept quiet about the other person’s behaviour and even a third incident where a group of people who I had thought were friends, hadn’t even bothered to listen to my side of a story and had believed someone else who I knew did not tell the truth for his own purposes….

My friend messaged again to say that she had spotted another sword further down in the picture, so I opened it, and zoomed into full screen in order to try and see that, and as I did so, the central column immediately looked like it was a rocket taking off, in fact, very particularly, a trident missile. This had a personal resonance, and therefore I felt it was a personal message, as I knew someone that was on UK submarines that carried these weapons and once a year, would go ‘on patrol’ and do a test firing. Although in my friend’s picture the ‘missile’ was going straight up, it had reminded me of a photograph from the time of a test firing of one that had gone off-track. In my mind’s eye, I saw it, not going straight up, but off to the side.

Although this initially felt personal, there was a link to my friend’s local area as that was where the submarines were based, and where I lived for a brief time and when I relayed what I had seen, I was surprised to hear that her original photo had been taken along an energetic line that runs East to West across Scotland, and goes through that submarine base. The energetic work being done on this area had needed Golden Healers from around the world.

My imagination went exploring the significance of a missile being fired, and possibly ‘going off track’, of the impact that would make, and I suddenly remembered the Impactite and felt the synchronicity of ‘missile’ and ‘impact’ could not be ignored.

Working on the December astrology, the day that I rediscovered the Impactite, I had pulled a card which was TRUTH – Divine Truth comes not just from an open mind and clear throat chakra but also from the Divine Wisdom held within our loving hearts. As this energy moves up from the heart chakra, it can release blocks at the throat, so that in the loving expression of your sacred truth you may become your real self – fully empowered to transform yourself and others. Affirmation –  I AM speaking the Divine Truth of my soul from the sacred wisdom of my heart. (Inner Child Cards, Shimara Kumara).This had been sat on the side of my desk, inches away from the Impactite in their box, but I hadn’t spotted their proximity or any link due to them being on different surfaces, at different heights.

This association with the throat, truth and speaking our truth was in alignment with Aquamarine stepping forward as my Crystal of the Month, and I felt that the Impactite might need something else to help us to pick up the gifts it offered, another crystal to pair with it. It might be that this will be personal, so see what you are led to pair with it. I had seen a golden chalice being offered so checked out the golden healers, but came back to (golden) Rutilated Quartz, which has complementary energies of helping us to feel safe and secure.

Impactite Properties:

• Particularly helpful for integrating eclipse energies, helping with the hidden impact of words and deeds
• Helping us to keep perspective and not to let things get blown out of proportion
• Helping us to face shadow emotions, the ‘monster’ in the dark and old energies that haven’t been spoken about
• Calming fear and revealing the truth
• Releasing old stories and finding the gift in them
• Finding the gift, the golden chalice offered by the monster
• Helps us to find our own truth within a situation, and to find peace with knowing that we were never heard or believed. We may never get to speak that truth but it is still the truth and we hold it in our heart
• Brings in the help of Archangel Michael to cut ties from the past, once we have found our peace with those situations and people, and the gift therein

Impactite is a generic term, relating to ‘rock created or modified by one or more impacts of a meteorite. Impactites are considered metamorphic rock, because their source materials were modified by the heat and pressure of the impact.’ Wikipedia. This particular Impactite is from Gardnos Crater in Norway, and on Trip Advisor I found this:

The Gardnos crater is one of the most easily accessible meteorite craters in the world, especially because the crater itself and the evidence of the impact are easy to find along the nature trail. A visit to Gardnos meteorite crater will give you a better understanding of the forces the area was exposed to.

I have a feeling that this is good news for our inner explorations and telling us that although we are afraid to look into the shadows, these old energies are actually, easily accessible too!
