Being black, this is a more grounding form of Kyanite but shares characteristics with the blue of working rapidly, connecting and releasing and creating an easy, frictionless flow. All Kyanites are catalysts and help to release stagnant energies and clear the body, chakras and meridians, helping to return to our Soul blueprint. The black forms intriguing fan shapes which look more fragile but physically and energetically are stronger, as they show the way this crystal has crossing striations which make a structure stronger than when they all go in one direction. This characteristic helps to give it a very grounding and stabilising feel whilst clearing, aligning and re-energising.
