This UK stone is a mixture of Basalt and Bytownite and was formed about 470 million years ago from huge volcanic eruptions during what is described as ‘a violent and cataclysmic period’. This gives it a resonance with the energies of destruction and creation and can help with trauma and chaos, helping to bring peace and order.
Tuning in to this stone, it directed me to look at the origin of the word ‘chaos’, and particularly the Greek and this was ‘hole, empty space, yawning, opening’, and it was alluding to the opportunity, the space and opening provide for realigning with the Universe. Change is to be embraced, not feared, and sometimes we need to allow the Universe to do what it needs to do, at the right time, even if we don’t understand the process at that time. Eventually, with hindsight, we will see that things were being thrown into the air, in order that they could come back down in the ‘right’ place, and those that were no longer needed could be released.
Lakelandite can need Quartz to activate it, either by surrounding it with points or sitting it on a cluster and it works well with Celtic Quartz, particularly the white ‘variety’, and the pair then help to break destructive belief patterns.
